In other words, partake of the Lord and discover how good He is. It is a discovery, an understanding, a revelation of who the Lord is, and we can take refuge in that knowledge the same way the psalmist David did. All we need is just a taste. Just a morsel of His goodness. We won’t be disappointed. We won’t want to discard it.
You know how you tell a child to just try it. Just taste it. You figure if they would just taste a little bit that would do the trick and lots of times, they end up liking it. They may end up even wanting more.
We must remember that the Lord is good. It is a sure thing. No if, ands or buts about it. It is a certainty. He is good. The enemy may try to tell you otherwise, but the truth is the Lord is good.
My heart will declare you are good
With a sea of tears rolling down my face
Heavy and feeling broken
My soul climbs up from the abyss of sadness
Shouting through the anguish
My center will not collapse
I’m shaking and tearing
But out of my desperation
Reaching to cling to all hope
Nowhere else to ride
But on the gush of angel wings
Into the light I go
