Isn’t it interesting how thanksgiving is usually mentioned alongside prayer? Giving thanks to God after offering up your petition is vital. Why? It points to faith. It is believing that God will answer your prayer. You know He will come through for you. You know it is coming and you just say thanks. The same way someone promises to give you something, if you trust in the person’s word, you know you will have it. You may not have in that moment, but you know it is on the way.
God is moved by our faith in Him. It is an activator. Let’s take a look at Matthew 8:5-13. Just like the centurion believed Jesus for his servant’s healing, He told Jesus about his servant's suffering, and He knew at Jesus’ word that his servant would be made whole. He did not need Jesus to come to His house, matter-of-factly, He did not want Jesus’ to come but just say the word and it will be done. It was his belief in Jesus that made it happen.
The word of God instructs that we should always pray. Continually talking to God throughout our day. Have a conversation. Having a relationship. Having a love relationship. Having an intimate, love relationship. That is what our life should be about as believers. How about taking time right now to talk to God. He is waiting.
Mind wave frequencies
Repeated thanks
Watchin’ and waitin’
That is my time
Spent on adoration
I walk through it
In an uproar
Oh my soul
Are you ready?
Answered with a Hallelujah
